Why?

With population growth projected to increase from 7 to 10 billion in 2050, we need to produce 35% more food to feed the world (fao source here). It has also been shown that pollinator diversity offers an effective and less risk filled means of increasing pollinator pressure in the fields, because it hedges several species to get the job done.
